Ever since EMM first decided to move to Lancaster City, we’ve sensed God leading us to create a hospitable space for immigrants, community members, and people engaged in mission. EMM’s plan to create a Hospitality Center at 450 North Prince Street is our response to that call.
Since purchasing the building at 450 North Prince Street in September 2015, EMM staff members have continued to pray, discern, and seek counsel as we prepare to move forward in the best possible way.
Since November 2015, EMM has been developing a plan for the 450 North Prince Street property purchased in September. Based on internal discussion, as well as consultations with numerous city pastors, non-profit leaders, and other interested persons, we have agreed on a vision for our city presence.
On September 17, 2015, Eastern Mennonite Missions purchased a building at 450 North Prince Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This purchase was the result of an 18-month discernment process with EMM staff, board, Representative Council, church leaders, other EMM partners and numerous alumni.
