EMM commissioned 39 adults and 34 children

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Eastern Mennonite Missions commissioned 39 adult workers and 34 children at Mellinger Mennonite Church on July 13, 2014. Sixteen new missionaries and 23 reappointing workers will go to 16 different countries, including five locations that have limited access to the gospel.

SALUNGA, Pa. – Nestled among historic barns, outbuildings, and the oldest homestead in Lancaster County were international flags, girls trying on chadars, and the aroma of osh cooking over an open fire. Not what one might expect to see at a historic site in Pennsylvania. But on Saturday, July 12, the Hans Herr House and Museum in Willow Street, Pa., doubled as the site for Eastern Mennonite Missions’(EMM) annual Global Fair.

Karen refugees blessed by “mountain therapy”

LANCASTER, Pa. – Jonathan Charles, member of Eastern Mennonite Missions’ Representative Council, recently took three Karen refugee friends hiking and camping in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Bwe Paw, Christian, and Ko Ro, all from the Karen people group of Myanmar (formerly Burma), enjoyed their time in the mountains.
