Regional vision
We focus on making disciples who make disciples, trusting and praying that vibrant communities of worship and mission will begin and grow as the number of disciples increases.

Responsibilities
The Christian camp developer is needed to brainstorm and develop a Christian retreat center and/or Christian camp where an ongoing local children's ministry will also be based. The developer will work alongside EMM workers and a local Chilean couple. Start with existing limited funding, but also help generate funds (locally and abroad) for development.

Environment
Chile is a relatively stable country with a large spectrum of climates and cultures. In regions of southern Chile, there is rain for 10 months of the year. It is a challenging climate, rural and isolated. However, the culture is easy to adapt to and welcoming to foreigners. While there is obvious spiritual oppression, people are very open to the gospel. This environment is ripe for simple church movements.

Supervisors and colleagues
The Christian camp developer will work with like-minded colleagues both expat and local, along with simple church members and leaders. This person will be supervised by Regional Representatives Michael and Nancy Hostetter and a Chilean couple who lives on the property.

Skills and experience
Applicants should be design- and creativity-oriented. Some experience in camp work/development and gardening are helpful. It is important to be self-motivated and resourceful. Loving the outdoors is a must, and applicants must be prepared to live in an extremely rainy climate. The camp developer will need to be willing and able to work with a multicultural team. Applicants must have intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
