 Doreen Bishop started her role as Prayer Mobilizer in August. This new role is subtly different than the previous position of Prayer Coordinator.
“The change is subtle,” Doreen said. “The slight change comes into play with a stronger focus on gathering a network of intercessors on behalf of Discipleship Ministries. It’s extending beyond ourselves to mobilize prayer in our broader partnerships.”
Doreen likes that her role is part administrative and part ministry. “I thrive when I have variety, and opportunities to meet and get to know people. Honestly, I love what EMM is about and I’m thrilled to be back serving the department that I’ve spent most of my young adulthood working for.”

 Although she thinks it could be “fun to be an ethnomusicologist,” Jessica Mengel thoroughly enjoys her position as Training Assistant at Harrisburg Discipleship Center, particularly the relational aspects of what she does - whether it is interacting with team leaders, participants, or fellow staff.
In this volunteer staff position, Jessica works closely with Chris Epp, the Training Director. She schedules speakers for GO! and YES trainings, as well as for post-field sessions, walks with team leaders as they prepare to lead teams, and puts together the weekly schedules.

 As the Prayer Ministries Coordinator, Greta Knepper stays in close touch with workers on the field. She not only prays for the individuals and teams serving, but also shares their newsletters and prayer concerns with the staff in EMM's central offices. |

 Harrisburg Discipleship Center is not an unfamiliar place to Andy Hock, Harrisburg Discipleship Center’s new Operations Manager. Andy has spent time at the center as both a volunteer staff member and as a participant in YES team training.
