Multipliers is a group of people that is committed to learning and practicing simple disciple-making principles, and in turn sharing them with others.
The principles come from exploring passages of Scripture that help us understand how God is calling us to multiply disciples right where we are. The group provides accountability and encouragement for each person to take practical steps to apply the principles in their daily lives.
The four concepts of EMM's discipleship philosophy — relationship, obedience, transformation, and multiplication — serve as the guiding framework for our exploration.
Multipliers activates simple principles and practices of making disciples that can be easily replicated in a small group or Sunday School setting.
As participants learn, they are encouraged to implement discipleship methods in their own churches. EMM staff are available to walk with people in a coaching role to help them multiply their learnings back into their home congregations.
Could someone from your church join this training of trainers, bringing back valuable skills to your congregation?
Core concepts include:
- Knowing God and self
- Listening to and obeying the voice of God
- Intercession for kingdom transformation
- Sharing life with people
- Sharing God's story and your story
- Empowering others through mentoring
- Meet regularly with large group
- Meet twice a month with smaller accountability group
- Willing to take risks in obeying Jesus
Multipliers is centered in Lancaster, Pa., but those in other areas are welcome to join through Skype.
