Kingdom Teams

Summer programs for youth groups to experience the inner city, grow in their relationships with God, and share his love

Your youth or young adult group can join us for:

Christ-centered teaching and sharing
Minister to each other in small groups; pray; take in teachings on: worship, intimacy with God, sharing your faith, discovering your uniqueness, urban issues, or being a world changer.

Recreation
Spontaneous opportunities exist for engaging recreationally with neighborhood children or adults in kick ball, soccer, basketball, and other group games.

Ministry and service
Serve the neighborhood through clean-up, visitation, renovation projects, and other servant evangelism opportunities.

We provide
An environment for learning, serving, and having fun; lodging and meals are included.

You provide
An energetic and willing group of youth or young adults.

Summer 2008 K-teams:

Harrisburg, PA
Come to Pennsylvania’s capital and see firsthand what can happen when just one person believes in the power of God’s love to transform a neighborhood. Join a YES alum and HDC staff member in his work with local ministries, to share hope through community revitalization projects and hands-on interaction with the people of this historic Allison Hill community.
The Harrisburg K-Teams are FULL for 2008.

Philadelphia, PA
Dive into children’s ministry – join the vibrant, family-friendly congregation of Oxford Circle Mennonite Church in reaching the children of their racially diverse Northeast Philadelphia community, through their Summer Education Program. Serve and worship with this multicultural fellowship, and share in their passion to see their neighbors restored to Jesus through holistic ministry and community initiatives… so that God can be exalted!
The Philadelphia K-Teams are FULL for 2008.

Reading, PA
Famous for their railroad on the Monopoly game board, Reading is a multi-cultural community devastated by broken families, addiction, and violence. Come partner with a group of urban ministries and churches through community development, discipleship, and evangelism.
The Reading K-Teams are FULL for 2008.

The Bronx, NY
Home to the Yankees and many different people from many different countries, the Bronx offers a unique opportunity to minister to the nations in one of the most storied neighborhoods in all of America.
The Bronx K-Teams are FULL for 2008.

Atlanta, GA
Refugees need a great deal of help in adjusting. This team will spend one week helping Kurdish, Turkish, Sudanese, Burmese, and many other refugees. Beginning with a two-day refugee simulation experience, they will then work with refugee children in a day camp, then spend time in informal interaction with the children and their families.
The Atlanta K-Teams are FULL for 2008.

Contact us in August 2008 to schedule K-Teams for summer 2009.
