Nuen's home is the white house on the left.
Nuen's yard has been cleared for planting her garden! She has since planted passion fruit vines, long Chinese beans, a black pepper vine, cilantro, and flowers. On the other side of her house, basil, papaya trees, lemon grass, and root herbs such as turmeric, ginger, and galangal grow.
Rainy season runs from May to September. October gets cooler and dries off in time for people to harvest their rice.
Whenever Nuen sees termite swarms, she quickly turns off the lights so the termites stay outside.

Water is collected from the spouting and flows from the tube into the big ceramic jar. Nuen collects it for her plants under the porch roof and for the dry spells.
Nuen has mastered the art of grilling: here she cooks barbecued chicken.
