Every EMM worker's primary focus is to make disciples of Jesus. Intern with Petra Peacebuilders, a non-governmental organization that cares for peacebuilders and humanitarian workers worldwide. A startup based in Malaga, Spain, Petra was formed to serve these valuable global workers who are often working in the areas of the world that are most difficult to be in and are therefore vulnerable to burnout. Support this work as an executive assistant to the CEO, as she and the core team provide practical support to these humanitarian workers through on-site resilience training, short-term and long-term coaching opportunities, and debriefing after challenging (and sometimes traumatic) field assignments. The work is full-time, with a minimum commitment of six months and a maximum service length of two years. Preferred deadline for applications is March 1 each year.

In 1936, EMM started the Mennonite Theological College of Eastern Africa (MTCEA) to train young church leaders. Today, the college is run by Tanzania Mennonite Church. But in recent years, the college struggled. In 2016, enrollment had dwindled to just three students.

Each year, EMM’s annual events are made possible through sponsorships from community-oriented businesses. These sponsors help to create a memorable year of EMM events that bring the community together to engage in missions at home and around the world. Thanks to each of our sponsors!
