experience times of being & becoming...
Each day starts grounded in the word of God through small group Bible study. K-Team participants will learn and grow together as a youth group and individually in their journey with Christ as they join in interactive and engaging discipleship sessions.

K-Teams are hosted by Immerse International in Millersville, Pa. just outside of Lancaster City. Part of Immerse’s ministry is to run an international house; they invite us to share the use of their dorm style bedrooms, classrooms, kitchen and community spaces for our K-teams through the summer. Immerse also helps by preparing some meals for the week.

intertwined with times of doing & serving...
K-Teams will serve refugees and immigrants in Lancaster alongside local community partners involved with the large refugee population. Outreach is generally from 12–3 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

In collaboration with the Lancaster Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13’s (IU13) Refugee Center and Community School at Reynolds, Millersville University, and the School District of Lancaster (SDoL) K-Teams will work with newly arrived refugee students in a summer school program. This program helps new students practice their English skills, learn the culture, and gain confidence in relating to others.

In collaboration with Grape Leaf Empowerment Center K-Teams will facilitate a summer camp for refugee and immigrant children in the community. This camp provides space for kids to be kids, practice the English language, gain confidence in their new setting, and make friends.

In either of these settings, outreach activities may include building relationships through informal English conversation, planning and leading arts and crafts, sports, group games, and other activities that build community and evidence the love of Christ.

Other activities throughout the week may include prayer walks, cultural learning experiences, team-building experiences, or service projects.
