What is a Partner?

Written by  Micah Brickner

Part•ner (pärter′nər) n. a person who takes part in some activity in common with another or others
— Webster’s New World College Dictionary

Did you know that EMM currently has 59 partners around the world? So what do we mean when we use the word “partner?” A partner is an organization with whom we are mutually and actively engaged. EMM values, nurtures, and pursues partnerships in all our work. We partner with groups and organizations in a variety of ways. Some partnerships have written agreements; other partnerships are more informal. EMM is committed to strong collaborative relationships with all of the partners listed here. The map is comprised of partners with whom there was active collaboration in 2020. While we value other historic partnerships, they may not appear on this list due to inactivity in 2020.
