We at EMM believe that God is calling us into "ridiculous” amounts of prayer.
So we are looking for intercessors willing to commit to one hour of EMM-related prayer each week. These intercessors will receive a monthly email with one or two priority prayer requests to help guide their prayers.
No meetings are required. Members of this core prayer team are encouraged to share what they are hearing in prayer and are welcome to join EMM prayer gatherings as they are able.
Prayer is the channel through which God's power flows to bring His kingdom on earth. Our vision is to see that channel growing in size and strength so that we can see even greater transformation taking place around the world.

March 2021 Mission Intercessor
1 (Mon.) Costa Rica
Please pray for Austin Zuercher as he seeks to balance his time between ministry work, personal life, and college! Pray also for him and the VidaNet team as they welcome the Nofziger family to their new roles as director and assistant director of VidaNet.
2 (Tues.) U.S.
Pray for someone to serve with a partner church in Queens, New York City, relocating there to join in church-planting, discipleship, and service in the community.
3 (Wed.) Wales, U.K.
Pray for mission intern Kelly Lapp. The country had been on lockdown due to COVID-19 for over half of the time she has been on assignment. Ask God to make His presence known to her, encouraging her emotional and mental well-being.
4 (Thurs.) Middle East
Pray for wisdom and creativity for Lucy* as she teaches. Praise the Lord for the enthusiasm her students have to learn. Lucy is making good progress in learning Arabic — pray for perseverance in continuing her studies.
5 (Fri.) Guatemala
Pray for Allen Eshleman in his role as an LMC international partner delegate relating to the K’ekchi’ Mennonite Church in Guatemala. Pray that he would soon be able to travel to meet with the church leaders there to encourage them.

Pray for an individual to offer their time to serve with a small group of local believers in Eastern Europe, engaging in community outreach through caring for the elderly, working with children at risk, farming and gardening, and discipling new believers.
7 (Sun.) West Africa
Pray for J.C. Ebersole as he serves as the executive director of the Africa Association of Bible Schools. Pray for the various Bible schools which provide teaching, resources, and encouragement to pastors and leaders.

Pray for an English teacher to serve in Chile, joining in with Chilean partners to make disciples of Jesus and bless the community through education.
9 (Tues.) Albania
Sonya Harnish asks for prayer for attentiveness to God's Holy Spirit as she continues to build relationships in the community and as the church community. She also asks for courage to share from her own journey with Christ!

Pray for EMM president Marvin Lorenzana as he experiences his first month in his new role. Pray for wisdom as he gets to know the EMM community and adjusts to this transition.
11 (Thurs.) U.S.
Pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation that has continued through the help of internet-based programs and methods through Wycliffe, which Marty and Glenna Sollenberger work with. Praise the Lord that even during the pandemic, He is reaching people with the Good News of His Kingdom!

Christine Bye is preparing for a nine-month mission internship starting in the fall, working with a long-term worker in Spain. Ask God to give us creative solutions to visa restrictions in that country as we get details set in place for her.
13 (Sat.) U.S.
Pray for Michael and Ruth* as they work with the Christian-Muslim Relations Team in sharing resources and their experiences in relating to Muslims. Pray for them as they seek new and ongoing relationships with Muslims and other internationals here in the US.

Pray for an individual or couple to volunteer their time working with a children's character development program in Cambodia. Pray for individuals who have a degree in education and are also willing to disciple and mentor new believers within a rural house church movement.

Peter Sensenig has joined the Christian-Muslim Relations Team, in which he connects with churches and provides resource development as his wife, Christy, continues with her midwifery training. Pray for the children as they continue with homeschooling and the whole family as they plan and prepare to move to France later this summer.

Continue to pray for our regional representatives as they consider opportunities for service most needed in their respective regions.

Pray for encouragement and creativity for Brad and Margie* as they reach out through an art ministry. Pray for wisdom as they work in leadership development.

Thank God for Gerry Keener, who has now concluded his leadership position as EMM president. Pray for Gerry as he discerns ministry opportunities in the coming months and years.

Mark and Sarah Schoenhals eagerly anticipate what God wants to do among the Isaan people, and they invite you to join them in praying for them. Pray for the way to open for them to return to Thailand to join in the work God is doing.

Pray for a medical professional to volunteer their time in serving in Cusco, Peru, in partnership with the Peruvian Mennonite Church and their ministry in healthcare to the Quechua people.
23 (Tues.) Costa Rica
Pray for Wendell and Melanie Nofziger and their children as they move to Costa Rica at the beginning of March to begin a new assignment. Pray for Wendell as he assumes responsibility as the new director of VidaNet and Melanie as assistant director. Pray for the children as they say goodbye to their family and friends and settle into a new place. Pray for smooth transitions.

Pray for someone to join a current candidate preparing to move to Marseilles, France, where opportunities abound for friendship with people who have migrated from North Africa.

Pray for the group of Advance participants as they gather on Saturday for a day of training and fellowship. Pray that this time would be a meaningful time for them.

Pray for Phil Gottschalk as he teaches three courses and walks with three mentees in spiritual formation. Pray for Linda, who also is teaching two courses. Pray for strength and health for both as they also work at packing up their house to get it ready for sale.

Pray for community partnership and support of EMM's Moving in Mission capital campaign. Please also pray for the mission of the hospitality center at 450 N Prince St. and that God will prepare the hearts of all who will serve and receive in that space.

Pray for Krista Martin as she plans and prepares for the Kingdom team programs this summer. Ask God to give her wisdom in planning and that churches would sign up to participate.

Praise the Lord for the new Christian-Muslim relations Bible study material that has been launched for use by churches. Pray for lives to be impacted through this material. Ask the Lord to lead and open the way for Andres and Angelica Prins to return to North Africa later this year.

Pray for Saren Williams, who is preparing for a mission internship this year, to work with refugee ministry. Ask God to give her his heart for the work to which she is being called.

Continue to pray for Beryl Forrester as he records lessons for West African church leaders and their church communities. Praise the Lord for the many people who are being encouraged and for those who are growing spiritually through these studies.
