Business Leaders’ Breakfast: Making Good Decisions when the Pressure is on

March 10 @ 7:00 AM - 8:45 AM

It isn’t just about what you decide—it’s about how you decide it.

Your team’s trust in your leadership isn’t just built on your results; it’s built on the integrity of your process. When the pressure is on, automatically falling back on your “preferred” decision-making style can lead to discord and disunity. Join us for the EMM Business Leaders’ Breakfast to learn foundational skills for making informed, healthy decisions. Merv will share insights that revolutionized his life and his MBA research, giving you a framework to lead with clarity while building healthy relationships and regaining your team’s trust.

What You Will Gain:

  • The Power of Alignment: Learn to move beyond your “default” style and select the decision-making method that best serves the situation.
  • A Diagnostic for Discord: Gain insight into why certain decisions cause team friction and how communication and unhealthy decision-making styles may be the culprit.
  • The “Before” Factor: Master the one key focusing question that determines who needs to be involved before the gavel falls.
  • Fine-Tuning Your Instincts: Turn decision-making from a stressful event into a practiced, high-level skill that builds an effective team.

Your Leadership Toolkit

Every attendee will leave with practical resources to implement immediately:

  • The Healthy Decision Chart: A guide to the styles that build trust and effectiveness.
  • The “Caution” Chart: A diagnostic tool to help you identify and avoid unhealthy patterns.
  • Two Worksheets: Practice in advance in order to respond “intuitively” when the pressure is on.
