Advance Global offers an opportunity to connect and grow with other young adults through 3 months of intensive discipleship, followed by 5 months of overseas missions experience.

Advance Global runs from September through May. It begins with a week of discipleship training in a community setting with other young adults. During the months of September through December, all Advance Global participants will travel for in person residential training in an overseas location (alternate training in the United States could be substituted if necessary). Location options include Southeast Asia, Central Europe, and West Africa.

Can I do Advance Global part-time?

No. Advance Global is a full time commitment. It’s a perfect fit for those who are planning a “Gap year” or for those who feel called to long term missions and want to take a first step to in exploring that calling.

What does the training look like?

It begins with one week of training at Hub 450 in Pennsylvania with Advance Local participants. From there Advance Global participants will join in a 12 week residential training (September – December). This training will include teaching, prayer, and community living with other young adults who are passionate for the Lord.

How much does it cost?

Cost for Advance Global is a flat rate of $9,500. This includes international transportation, training fees, and food and lodging during all Advance training and outreach times. The first five applicants get a $50 discount. Scholarships are also available for those who require financial assistance to participate in the program. 

What does the outreach look like?

December through May will be spent serving in a ministry location working together with other team members and the leadership of long-term EMM workers. Outreach opportunities may involve children’s ministry, tutoring English language learners, working with immigrants and refugees, one-on-one discipleship, engaging with unreached people groups who are hearing the Gospel for the first time, and/or small group ministry with new believers. Specific outreach(es) will be arranged based on each individual’s interests, gifting, and availability.
