On November 5, 2022, Bishop Brian Martin concluded his service as Board chair and passed the baton to Akeia Haddox-Rossiter. Akeia is the executive pastor of Capital Christian Fellowship, an LMC congregation in Lanham, Md. She is ordained for ministry in LMC, holds a STEP certification from Eastern Mennonite University, a bachelor’s degree in hospitality from Kansas State University, and is currently pursuing a master’s de-
gree in nonprofit and association management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Akeia served as an EMM Missionary Support Team leader, and prior to assuming the role of interim chair, she served as the vice chair of the Board from 2019 to 2022. Originally from Oklahoma, with strong ties to Kansas, Akeia and her husband, Paris, live in Washington, D.C. with their three children.

We are grateful for Brian’s 9 years of service on the EMM Board. Akeia will serve as the interim chair until January 2024, at which time, the Board intends to name a permanent chair. Thank you, Akeia, for your service to God through EMM!
