Asante, Marafiki

In Swahili, that means, “Thank you, friends.” We share our utmost gratitude for each of you who played a role in the Amani Gardens Inn in Nairobi, Kenya. Previously known as the Mennonite Guesthouse, the inn provided relaxation and refreshment for countless visitors.

In 2021, we made the challenging decision to sell the inn and to use the proceeds to establish a fund that would provide resources for mission and church development in the region. Problems with the legal title as well as a market downturn led to the decision in 2022 to enter into a 5-year commercial lease agreement instead.

We have been enriched by the ministry of the inn and ask for God’s blessing for the ministry that will come from the proceeds. The faithfulness of those who served here will carry on for decades more through this new fund.
