Making an impact through Kingdom Teams

Written by Kaylene Derksen

What are Kingdom Teams? These teams are made up of church youth groups who have signed up for a one-week service opportunity during the summer. Participants stay in a community setting, close to their outreach location in Lancaster, Pa., and receive discipleship training. They apply these discipleship and kingdom principles as they serve refugees and others. Activities have included serving refugee children and youth through a number of different activities and collaborations with local agencies as well as setting up an apartment for an arriving refugee family, sorting donations, or other projects that benefit local organizations serving refugees.
