Travel around the region to a circuit of churches, or offer training in a relevant specialty (e.g. evangelism, discipleship, etc.). This position could belong to a non-resident worker who visited the region once or twice a year.

Teach urban refugees in a classroom setting or one-on-one. Experience in ESL or other teaching preferred.
Will write articles and take related photos to facilitate communication with the North American constituency about EMM's work in the East Africa region.
Develop relationships with urban refugees through teaching English, sports outreach, or other creative means. Background in peacebuilding, trauma healing, or development a plus.
Volunteer as a doctor or nurse at a medical facility. The nature of the work will be dependent on the worker's area of specialty. Experience or interest in tropical medicine is an asset.
Tour a North African country and learn Arabic, sharing the good news of Christ’s love and forgiveness with locals; or focus on learning language, remaining mostly in one city. Be equipped to work with refugees and immigrants in your home area, and develop a deeper understanding of a region from which many of them come.
Practicing or retired professors are invited to teach for a semester at one of two possible universities. Share your expertise in areas of specialty such as leadership, theology, or ESL. The assignment can vary greatly depending on location.
Nurses, midwives, and ultrasound/X-ray technicians are needed to serve and help train local staff at a rural hospital in a Sierra Leone village. Be involved in disciple-making relationships as opportunities arise.
