Eager to sing

In 2008, John and Debbie Coats started a pilot program for children which focused on character training in a rural village in southeastern Cambodia. The program included music which helped the children realize that not only can worship be very beautiful, but that they can be a part of those beautiful sounds.

Before Mary and I went to Vietnam, I was profoundly moved by reading Dietrich Bonhoeffer's The Cost of Discipleship. Bonhoeffer, a German theologian and pastor, hanged in a Nazi concentration camp in 1945, had written: "When Christ calls a man, He bids him come and die."

SALUNGA, Pa. — Assemblies of God churches in Bangladesh have a profound commitment to peacemaking. Five Bangladeshi church districts welcomed Eastern Mennonite Missions (EMM) Global Consultant David W. Shenk, a widely recognized interfaith specialist, to visit, teach, and encourage their congregations to become even more deeply rooted in Jesus’ way of peace. From Aug. 29–Sept. 10, 2016, Assemblies of God church members across Bangladesh were encouraged to continue breaking down barriers between people by building bridges of dialogue and friendship.
